Samaipata
Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as El Fuerte de Samaipata or the 'fort' this red sandstone rock in the eastern Andes mountains dates back to at least 300AD in the time of the local Mojocoyas culture and the surface is covered with a variety of animal and geometric designs. There are signs that the Inca culture reached Samaipata in the 15th century.
