Sacsayhuamán
| Peru, Sacsayhuamán. The Inca Pachacuti [also Pachacutec] the 9th Inca is credited with the construction of the great fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cuzco, the Inca capital. Work began in about 1431 and continued during the reign of his son Tupac Inca Yupanqui. |
