Chile:  the Juan Fernández archipelago in the Pacific Ocean lies some 600km off the Chile coast. The main island, Mas a Tierra, was renamed in the 1960s as Isla Robinson Crusoe after the adventures of a Scottish mariner, Alexander Selkirk, who was marooned there for four years in 1704. The main economy of the islands is lobster fishing and tourism.
