Brazil: Mato Grosso state, Chapada of the Guimãres National Park/ Parque Nacional da Chapada dos Guimãres. This spectacular area of ancient red-sandstone tablelands has the appearance of the Lost World of Conan Doyle with high waterfalls and eroded rock spires. The vegetation is largely cerrado, a low forest with open spaces of grassland.
