The crew of the ice patrol ship HMS Endurance were on hand to help with the survey of the Great Britain conducted by Dr Ewan Corlett in 1968 and with the BBC filming in 1969. Here a crew member is making a survey of Sparrow Cove so the depths would be available for any salvage operation.
