| Inca Cuzco: The principal cloister of the Church of Santo Domingo was built around Inca shrines. It was an ancient site with the centre of the Temple of the Sun [Coricancha] as the most important shrine being taken by the altar of the church. The old stonework was covered in earth and plaster and only revealed by an earthquake in 1950. The Inca Temple of Lightning has been reconstructed. | |
