Caral, Peru
Caral (Chupacigarro Grande) in the Supe valley was inhabited between 3000 BCE to 2000BCE and is one of the oldest cities in the world. The site has six large platform mounds (or "pyramids"), many smaller platform mounds, two sunken circular plazas, an amphitheatre and ruins of residential areas.
